Morgan Hill speaks at Blockchain conference in New York

Our managing director Morgan Hill was invited to speak at ICO conference in New York on September 22nd. It was an excellent event with number of great speakers and sessions through out the day. ICOnference was a fantastic event to meet enthusiastic crypto investors and company founders from across the globe.

What has shown great traction is how AxionV maintains the investment approach of focusing only on proven business models or established blockchains that have shown value through broad user adoption.

In addition, new ICO based startups are focusing on novel blockchain concepts and synergy with existing business models, such as streaming data and application services. This is much better than the current Alt-Coin model on Ethereum where you just take a core business, say lending loans, web domain registration, or Moon-pie cakes, and make a coin for it. The blockchain is certainly the next frontier and many investors, developers and major companies are taking it seriously. There are many opportunities in it, and we are just on the tip innovation and opportunity.

At the conference, we observed a number of novel concepts, like the creation of an IoT (Internet of Things) hardware tag that would uniquely be matched to a blockchain address which would accept direct payment. The investment potential here is amazing and could be its own 10x class multiple if executed well. This has many revolutionary ideas, such as the ability to pay the “meter” directly for service such as electricity or water. It reminded us of Vitalik Buterin’s quote about the smart contract being the equivalent of a vending machine for products.

AxionV will only invest into companies where there’s a virtual guarantee that funding and capital are secure.

While looking at how to do your own private institutional level ICO, our development team has already been gathering investment data across the cryptocurrency industry, and this information can be compiled into an ICO investment database. As mentioned in the presentation, it’s remarkable how ICO’s are facilitating “Crowdfunding 2.0”.

In the near future our machine learning based AI should have enough data to start making direct investment recommendations into ICOs in addition to crypto currencies. Morgan stated that the AxionV objective is to provide the best returns for investors and it is well on its way in that regard. Peter Borovykh’s Book, “Blockchain Applications in Finance” Released at New York Blockchain Event

Last night in the heart of NYC was held a sold out Blockchain event.  New and innovative book by AxionV’s Head of Algorithmic Trading Strategies launched. The event has sold out days in advance with over 150 people in attendance and took place at eBay’s NYC office, showcasing financial blockchain analyst and author of “Blockchain Applications in Finance”, Peter Borovykh, alongside several experts, all of whom discussed blockchain’s current state and its future possibilities.

Check-ins are about to begin with doors not yet open.

There was great amount of networking, sharing ideas while having a glass of wine and cold beer. All in all, the event had fantastic turnout with inspiring speakers and was a must see event.

Large line to check in before the event starts.
Line is snaking around entire eBay NYC lobby.

Borovykh himself has recently been featured recently in Business Insider, Inside Bitcoins, MSN, Yahoo Finance, Gizmodo, Broker.org, Smart Trends, Futurism, BTC manager and many others. Over the past few years, he has established himself as one of the premier voices of blockchain and cryptocurrency in the United States, and the release of his book solidifies him as a go-to source for information on blockchain’s developments as they happen, as well as expert predictions of its future. He has also mentioned that he will be teaching a cryptocurrency trading workshop at Blockchain Conference in Boston on September 14th (Details at BostonBC.com).

Inside, pre-event networking is heating up.

Morgan Hill appeared on the event’s Q&A panel and answered a number of questions about the AxionV vision, AI technology and how AxionV actually benefits from recent China ICO regulations.

It has begun!

He was joined by Elaine Yi, Founding Partner at Zonvon Ventures, and Gregory Rocco, Editor-in-Chief of investFeed, the first decentralized social media platform.

All seats are taken, and there’s barely any standing room left.

Elaine Li is a Founding Partner at Zonvon Ventures. Her background in Blockchain and cryptocurrencies started from her highly cited presentations of Crowdfunding in Chinese. Her contribution as chapter editor-in-chief of the Wisdom Crowdfunding book, which was oversubscribed in the crowdfunding stage, and ZonvonVentures’ investments in blockchain startups has made Elaine a noted voice in the community.

She spoke on the state of blockchain startups in China and the current regulation decisions about ICO’s, as well as the cryptocurrency market and how Artificial Intelligence is poised to revolutionize and optimize cryptocurrency trading.

Gregory Rocco is Editor in Chief at investFeed, a post-ICO startup that puts social media on the Blockchain. During their ICO, investFeed raised over five million dollars, helping them on their way to becoming the central source of the Blockchain community. Gregory has a history of many years in the media and has recently shifted gears, becoming a big player in the cryptocurrency and Blockchain space.

Morgan HIll of AxionV shares his insights as part of the panel.

He talked about the rise of social investing, the scattered nature of the crypto-community, and how investFeed seeks to create a dedicated network for enthusiasts, projects, and professionals globally in the blockchain space.

Peter Borovykh discusses some of the complex topics found in “Blockchain Applications in Finance”.

Peter discussed in depth about the contents of his new book, giving attendees a sneak preview. According to Borovykh, “The book contains high level use cases of how blockchain will impact the financial industry, good and bad. Spoiler alert: I think it’s almost entirely for good. The disintermediary quality of blockchain makes it a particularly viable option to disrupt the financial industry.”

During the event, Peter met with and answered the questions of both blockchain experts and potential AxionV ICO participants who attended the event, all of whom were excited to read the book and learn more about how blockchain will disrupt the financial industry. The room was buzzing with excitement and all attendees had great opportunities to network with the East Coast’s blockchain community and the new members that the presence of AxionV had brought into the fold. You can grab a copy of his book here.

Q&A for the Speakers

“We were very happy to see so many new faces attending thanks to Peter’s involvement in AxionV. This has been the biggest event we have held. He was previously a speaker for one of our most successful events, and him being a central voice of the blockchain community has been great to watch.”

-Blockchain NYC event organizer, Irene Ross.

In The News: AxionV Boosted By China’s Regulations

The news coming out of China about the restriction of Chinese ICO investors has many eyebrows raised, and certainly perpetuated concerns about the market as well. However, the effects won’t be bad for all ICOs.

AxionV was built in such a way that these regulations will not restrict Chinese participation in the ICO, and some experts even believe that this will be a boon for ICOs focused on security and legality like AxionV.

US-CH News reached out to us wondering how AxionV will cope with the so-called “ICO ban.” As it turns out, AxionV won’t have to change at all, as it was set up to ride waves like this one without turbulence, and we were happy to provide them with information about what makes AxionV uniquely able to take on Chinese participants.

Here’s an excerpt, and a link to the full article:

ICO Alarm in China – Winners and Losers

“I reached out to AxionV, a AI crypto fund that is launching their ICO on September 16, curious to see how they are going to be handling newer regulations coming out not only from China, but also from the U.S. and Singapore. As it turns out, AxionV is resolving regulatory hurdles in a very straight-forward fashion. A number of in-house protocols for AML/KYC and SAFT (Simple Agreement for Future Tokens), compliant with the best practices inherited from more traditional asset managers and venture capital firms, will make it possible to collect funds from accredited investors (including China). Their team has also found a smart way of limiting risk in the ERC20 protocol by cutting out the transfer function and making the protocol more secure and safe for investors, which allows AxionV to control the flow of funds and trace every single investment back to the client.

Utilizing the proposed SAFT framework is another development that may continue to evolve as an alternative to direct public and retail investments. Analogous to a futures contract for accredited investors, the agreement functions in place of on-demand coins to offer the investor protection based on the parent company and assurance of suitability via accreditation. It appears AxionV not only implements this, but has taken the extra steps by limiting all resale options to be extra secure and compliant while regulators try to better understand the cryptocurrency economy.”
